Waikiki

So I'm in the optometry/medical club.  I know it has nothing to do with my major but I somehow ended up in their club.  Way back on Halloween we decorated cupcakes for Food Fest.  Food Fest is when ever club on campus, so pretty much every country in the world, makes food and sells it!  Really fun!  I ate from the Japanese club and got some really good steak then a good scone thing from New Zealand.  Anywho our club made cupcakes because the club president, Mike, his wife, Nicole loves to bake and does wedding cakes and such!  They were super cute ones with RIP, spider webs, ghosts, and others that I forgot.

That was our club fundraiser and with the money we made we went and played in Waikiki!  We started out at Swap Meet, then went to Waikiki beach.  The beach is super busy there and I for sure like my North Shore beaches better where I am the only one there!  It was still fun though.  We walked around and shopped for a bit and I got a personalized Christmas ornament :).  We also taste tested at every Hawaii Cookie Company we came upon.  Love that place and love the white chocolate macadamia nut flavor. 

We went to Cheesecake Factory for dinner and we each had a thirty dollar limit!  Awesome!  So ate a delicious meal with their scrumptious mashed potatoes and got pumpkin cheesecake.  So good.  When we were walking back to our car there were some kids playing some music on the sidewalk with a bunch of people gathered so we stopped to listen for a bit.  Then this one girl goes up there and starts jamming out by them.  After the song was over another girl went up and requested A Whole New World from Aladdin and started belting it out and video camering herself...I looked closer and it was my roommate Jess!  Love it.

Also Mike and Nicole are such an awesome couple.  She is graduated and he is graduating this December and they are just headed to South America for 7 months to backpack!  How cool is that!  So cool!  They also do this thing called "couch surfing".  It is this organization where people from all over the world just come and "crash on your couch" for a night pretty much.  They've had people from all over stay at their house and then they'll be doing that in South America a few times too.  What an adventure.  They said you just have to find someone who is willing to do it with you, then just plan and save.  Real simple.
